ICOON is a picture dictionary for all the world’s languages. 2015 designer Gosia Warrink initiated the aid-project ICOON for refugees - a free picture dictionary for refugees & their helpers. Financed via crowdfunding, 50000 books were spread. A simple book with 1200 symbols overcomes any language barrier. One finger-point on the symbols, pictograms or photos is sufficient to make oneself understood. The book was created in cooperation with the Red Cross. The corresponding android app is free.
